Sater Fivel in the Workshop

About

“In September of 2017 I decided, on a whim, to take a can of spray paint to an old N64 I had that was collecting dust. The results were messy and imperfect, but it was the process that I fell in love with. Taking something ordinary and turning it into something unique, something personal, that is why I’ve been making custom consoles ever since.”

Sater Fivel was born in Dallas, TX a couple months before the NES hit US shores. Never one to discriminate, he grew up playing anything he could get his hands on. Tiger handheld games, Sega Master System and Game Gear, Nintendo NES and Gameboy. Some of his earliest and fondest gaming memories are of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

Not much has changed since then, he still gets overly excited at new game announcements, tries to find time to play a bit of everything, and loses his mind playing Overwatch about once a week. The main difference now is that he does these things with a loving wife cheering him on and driving him to always be improving.
